INKUBIT Group opens new office in Bremerhaven

INKUBIT Group opens new office in Bremerhaven

The proximity and the historically grown cooperation with the Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences were only two reasons for the logical decision to open a new branch in Bremerhaven. Through this spatial nearness, we would also like to offer students the opportunity to gain their first practical experience with the INKUBIT Group as working students. We will publish a date for the official opening of the location in a separate news article. For further information please contact the head of the branch office and managing director of INKUBIT Consulting GmbH, Patrick McGibney at patrick.mcgibney@inkubit.com.

Microsoft Social Engagement will be discontinued

Microsoft Social Engagement will be discontinued

Microsoft Social Engagement will be discontinued on January 16, 2020 for all Dynamics 365 customers. Microsoft Social Engagement was developed to centrally control and evaluate the different accounts on the different social media channels. The solution should give sales and marketing teams new opportunities to generate leads or evaluate marketing activities.

Microsoft justified its decision by citing more AI-supported social and web insights in the future, rather than just "social listening" capabilities. Most of the features will find a new home in Dynamics 365 Market Insights in the future. So far, we haven't had the opportunity to explore Dynamics 365 Market Insights more closely. However, Microsoft provides a preview environment for interested customers.

The availability of Social Engagement ends with the expiration of the license subscription or finally on January 16, 2020.

INKUBIT goes Financial Service Data Platform (FSDP) 3.0

INKUBIT goes Financial Service Data Platform (FSDP) 3.0

And again, INKUBIT was a participant at the FSDM SAT (Solution Acceptance Test) at the SAP SE headquarters in Walldorf. This is the third event we are attending where we had the chance to personally test the innovations and stability of Financial Services Data Management (FSDM). Biggest thanks to SAP SE, that we were able to participate again on this great event!

The data model test focused on the new entities that were added or enhanced in Release 1.3:

  • Syndicated lending (a loan granted by at least two banks)
  • Primary Insurance
  • Derivatives
  • Datamodel Accounting (including: PriceGain, AmortilzedCost, FairValue and MaturityAnalysis)
  • Extension Business Partner (extension by Business Partner Relation Category / Requirements from European Regulatory Reporting Standard)

The technical test cases included:

  • Transport of the physical data model of SAP HANA® CDS (Core Data Services Entities) using the SAP HANA® deployment infrastructure
  • Read and write interface generation for SAP HANA® Views & Procedures
  • Simplified data collection through SAP HANA® Smart Data Integration (SDI) Flowgraphs
  • Use data loading tools such as SDI Flowgraphs, Native Data Store Objects (NDSO), Task Chains

The data modeling quality made a good impression on us. INKUBIT believes: ready-to-market! Then it depends on what the customer makes out of it.

Open-Data-Initiative: Adobe + Microsoft + SAP

Open-Data-Initiative: Adobe + Microsoft + SAP

At this year's Microsoft Ignite Event (24-26 September in Orlando), three industry-leading companies surprised us with great news. Microsoft, Adobe, and SAP will work together to help customers connect data across their enterprise, deliver intelligent services with artificial intelligence, and gain powerful insight. The goal is to enable companies and customers to create greater value from their data to deliver a world-class customer experience in real time. With the new Open Data Initiative, companies gain the following benefits, among others:

  • Release of isolated data to obtain new value
  • Bi-directional transmission of transactional, operational. Customer or IoT data to and from the common database to preferred requirements
  • Create data-driven digital feedback loops for greater business impact while complying with security and privacy policies
  • Create and customize intelligent applications that natively understand Adobe, SAP, and Microsoft data, relationships, and metadata.
